Emirates Shipping Line stated today that in light of recent market developments it is announcing a General Rate Increase on its Middle East trade lane in line with market conditions.

The quantum and date of implementation are as below:

Scope: all westbound shipments to Middle East region from Far East and South East Asia

Quantum: USD500/20' and USD1000/40' containers

Validity: from 1st November 2013 till further notice

  • “Liner Owner/Operator Award” in the Seatrade Asia Awards 2009 held in Shanghai in June 2009
  • “Ship Owner/Operator Award” in the Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards held in Dubai in October 2009
  • Asian Container Shipping Line of the Year” in the Lloyd’s List Asia Awards held in Singapore in October 2009

These nomination honor top achievers with outstanding performance in service integrity and customer care across their respective regions throughout the year, and ESL was short listed among a competitive pool of contenders by eminent panel of judges from across the industry and academics.
