Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of two new services - the Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) and the Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) with CMA. Emirates will be a vessel provider on both services

The two new restructured services offer a direct fixed scheduled weekly service out of common ports through competitive transit time, ensuring port delays do not impact the quality of service on either loop.

The Gulf Mombasa Express - GMX service has a port rotation of Jebel Ali - Khor Fakkan - Mombasa - Zanzibar - Jebel Ali

The Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) service has a port rotation of Jebel Ali - Khor Fakkan - Dar-Es-Salaam - Jebel Ali

Both services commence on 11th May 2012 with Gulf Mombasa Express (GMX) and Gulf Dar-Es-Salaam Express (GDX) both sailing from Jebel Ali on the same date

To make these services operationally effective, 5 vessels of 2200 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on GMX service and 3 vessels of 1700 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed on the GDX service.

An official notification from the company stated that "These two new services signify a further commitment from Emirates Shipping Line as it expands its service portfolio to better serve our customer needs," "Our new services announced today targeted the high growth areas in East Africa which is important to our overall strategy. By offering a comprehensive weekly network of reliable services we are responding to the needs of our customer base"
