Emirates Shipping Line stated today that in light of recent market developments it is announcing a General Rate Increase on its Middle East trade lane in line with market conditions.

The quantum and date of implementation are as below:

Scope: all westbound shipments to Middle East region from Far East and South East Asia

Quantum: USD500/20' and USD1000/40' containers

Validity: from 1st November 2013 till further notice

Emirates Shipping Line today, announced that it will enter into a partnership with APL and OOCL on their CIX service and will be a vessel sharing partner on the service. Emirates will be branding this new service as the China India Express Service ?CIS, restructuring its Hypergalex service

The CIS service is a premier service focusing on ESL customers? needs of reliability, stability and efficiency.

CIS will provide comprehensive port connections and greater coverage to the key trading and commercial centres of Far East and South East Asia as well as the Indian Sub-Continent. Its new port rotation with its first sailing from Xingang will commence from 21st March 2013.

The port rotation will be as follows:

Xingang / Dalian / Qingdao / Pusan / Hong Kong / Chiwan / Singapore / Colombo / Nhava Sheva / Pipavav / Port Klang / Singapore / Hong Kong / Xingang

CIS is a weekly direct service with fast transit time, linking the major ports including Bohai Bay, Pusan, Chiwan and Nhava Sheva in this rapid growing region.

Emirates Shipping Line stated today that in light of recent market developments and part of its strategy it is taking a lead in announcing a General Rate Increase on its Far East and South East Asia to East Africa Trade Lanes effective 1st April 2013

The Quantum and Dates of implementation are as below:
